Biography
Amelia Deitchman, PharmD, PhD is a second year T32 Clinical Pharmacology Fellow working with Dr. Francesca Aweeka at the UCSF Drug Research Unit (DRU), a CFAR Pharmacology Core. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2013, she continued on to obtain her PhD in pharmaceutical sciences (focus on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics) in 2017 under the mentorship of Dr. Hartmut Derendorf at the University of Florida. Dr. Deitchman's current research focuses on clinical and translation pharmacology in the setting of HIV, with a particular focus on HIV cure initiatives. She is also engaged in ongoing research at the DRU related to HIV inflammation, malaria, and oncology.
