We are pleased to invite you to “Navigating the Current Funding Environment (NIH Update, Alternative Funding, and Specific Aims Lightning Rounds),” hosted by the CFAR Mentoring Program and JFAR (Junior Faculty in AIDS Research) on August 22nd, 2025. The event will feature a range of activities including a welcome session, an NIH funding update, lunch with a panel on alternative funding sources, and Specific Aims lightning rounds (sign up below) followed by a networking opportunity.
Event Schedule:
- 11:00 - 11:30 AM: Welcome and Introductions
- 11:30 - 12:15 PM: NIH Funding Update from CFAR Director Monica Gandhi
- 12:15 - 2:00 PM: Lunch + Alternative Funding Sources Panel
- Representatives from Gilead, amfAR, CHRP, others + Successful Awardees of other funding sources
- 2:00 - 4:00 PM: Specific Aims Lightning Rounds and Networking
The program from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM will also be available on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.
