Julia Prigann, PhD

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Gladstone Institute of Virology mentored by Melanie Ott. My research interest lies in understanding the impact of persistent viral infection on the human immune system. My previous work focused on enhancing “shock-and-kill” strategies to accelerate HIV cure approaches through engaging the innate immune system. Currently, I work on silencing HIV transcription as a potential new strategy to control HIV replication.
