Marie Stoner, PhD, MPH

Dr. Marie Stoner is an investigator in the Women’s Global Health Imperative at RTI International in Berkeley, California. She is trained as a social and infectious disease epidemiology and conducts research on the social determinants of reproductive and sexual health outcomes among adolescent populations. Specifically, she seeks to understand (1) pathways by which factors like education and poverty influence sexual health behavior and risk of HIV infection and (2) how to create more effective combined biomedical, behavioral, and structural intervention approaches to reduce risk of HIV in adolescents in sub-Saharan Africa and the United States.
