Biography
I am interested in countermeasures for rapidly evolving viruses with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS. Combining experimental evolution and rational design approaches, the goal of my work is to engineer antivirals that prevent therapeutic resistance and overcome barriers to treatment delivery. I am currently working on a “therapeutic parasite” of HIV, a communicable vaccine that is predicted to significantly reduce the global burden of HIV/AIDS.
