Biography
Through my research, I seek to identify innovative ways to improve maternal and child health, with a focus on under-resourced settings. I have been developing a portfolio of research examining factors affecting access to care both in the US and countries including Madagascar and Uganda. My focus has spanned women at different stages of the reproductive cycle: from women wanting to avoid becoming pregnant, to women during the antenatal and the post-partum period. My long-term goal is to become an independent researcher with expertise in designing interventions, including social network interventions, to enhance reproductive health care-seeking and HIV treatment and prevention among women and children in low-resource settings.
