Biography

My research is based on leveraging samples collected from clinical cohort trials performed in malaria endemic areas to better understand malaria epidemiology and transmission. Given the geographical overlap between malaria and HIV/AIDS, a substantial number of co-infections occur. A better understanding of the biology and epidemiology of co-infections will be necessary to reach the ultimate goal of malaria eradication.
