Leslie Cockerham, MD

Biography

Dr. Leslie Cockerham is an infectious disease physician providing HIV and primary care at ARCW. Dr. Cockerham received her medical degree from Northwestern University and completed her residency and infectious disease fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. She also has a Master’s degree in Clinical Research from UCSF. My research focus is HIV immunopathogenesis. I am specifically interested in studying the processes that lead to immune dysfunction and viral persistence, and exploring strategies that target these mechanisms, with the goal of bringing us closer to achieving the eradication of HIV.
