Biography

I am interested in HIV infection biology with particular interest in why the human immune system fails where other primate immune systems do not. My interests extend beyond HIV to understanding the spillover potential of other retroviruses by understanding how our immune systems shut down endogenous retroviruses encoded in our own genomes.
