Renata Buccheri, MD, PhD

I am an infectious disease physician with a PhD in pathology from Brazil. My medical practice and research have primarily centered on HIV/AIDS and neglected diseases, with a particular emphasis on underserved populations. I am currently affiliated with the Vitalant Research Institute, focusing on research related to HIV and other transfusion-transmitted diseases. I am also interested in public health research, epidemiology of infectious diseases, and HIV/AIDS, particularly treatment adherence and PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).
