Biography
I am a fellow in Infectious Diseases at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) where I specialize in HIV and tuberculosis care as well as the intersection between pulmonary disease and HIV under my mentor, Dr. Laurence Huang. Also a research fellow within the Center for AIDS Research at UCSF based at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and am funded by the “Training in HIV Translational Research” T32 training grant (D. Havlir, PI, 2T32AI060530-16).
My research is focused on sex-based differences in HIV-associated co-morbidities with a special interest in pulmonary disease. Currently, I am working with Dr. Laurence Huang with a focus on sex-based differences in obstructive lung disease in people living with HIV (PWH). I am also working with Dr. Phyllis Tien, a Professor of Medicine, Infectious Disease researcher at UCSF, and PI of the San Francisco Bay Area MACS/WIHS Cohort Study (U01HL146242), in evaluating the role of sex hormones and the menopausal transition in women with HIV within the Women’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) cohort.
