Biography

Miguel Ibarra is the Program Manager for the Homeless Health Outreach and Mobile Engagement (HHOME) and Getting to Zero Intensive Case Management programs at San Francisco Community Health Center (formerly API Wellness). Miguel has worked in the HIV field for the last five years, originally starting his work as a community health educator and volunteer outreach worker for HIV testing and prevention while completing his undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Latino/a Studies at San Francisco State University. Since graduating, he has worked for Mission Neighborhood Health Center, Tom Waddell Urban Health, and now SFCHC; agencies focused on providing comprehensive health services to the underserved and underinsured. His experience has ranged from treatment linkage for new positives, rapid testing and risk reduction counseling, case management, recruitment and retention coordination, and care navigation. Miguel has extensive experience in San Francisco's HIV resources, linkage to care, patient retention, and clinical quality management and improvement. He has recently earned his MPH from University of San Francisco.
