Dr. Amy Brock is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. She is the UT Austin Raymond F. Dawson Centennial Fellow and is affiliated with the Center for Computational Oncology, and the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Graduate Program at UT Austin. Dr. Brock received her bachelor’s degree from MIT and completed her graduate studies in Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Harvard University. She joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin as an Assistant Professor in 2013 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020. She currently serves as co-Chair of the National Cancer Institute Cancer Systems Biology Consortium. Her research group focuses on the roles of cell population heterogeneity in cancer progression and therapeutic response. To address these clinical challenges, the lab is developing novel technologies and experimental approaches rooted in the tools of systems biology.
