Biography
I am very interested in the host and viral factors that govern HIV persistence and spontaneous latency reversal. My research goal is to explore novel therapeutic strategies to neutralize the latent HIV reservoir and prevent, or at least delay viral rebound in absence of antiretroviral therapy. I furthermore believe that studies of viral latency mechanisms and potential cure approaches should not only focus on memory CD4 T cells, but also take into account other viral reservoirs (i.e. microglia).
