Biography
I am a bioinformatics postdoc working with the Krogan Lab in QBI. My main research interests are in building large scale in silico screens for protein-protein interactions, particularly host-pathogen interactions. I am interested in recent work showing that “pooled” AlphaFold, where groups of random proteins are modelled together to identify interactions, reduces false positive predictions. This makes large-scale PPI screening with AlphaFold more feasible and opens up a new frontier for biological discovery.
