Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of California, San Francisco
Yange Niu received his Ph.D. from Peking University, China, where he studied the inhibitory mechanisms of antidiabetic drugs targeting human sodium-glucose cotransporters. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, working with Dr. John Gross. His research focuses on uncovering the molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions, with a particular emphasis on how HIV-1 Vif counteracts human APOBEC3 proteins.
