Terrance Walker

Biography

Terrance Walker is a youth advocate & artist from Houston, TX. He began his work in youth services nearly 5 years ago as an outreach & engagement specialist at the Salvation Army. Through his work with the National Youth Forum on Homelessness, Terrance has served as program consultant and grant reviewer for several national agencies including HUD, FYSB, AWHA, USICH and has also served as a youth collaboration technical assistance provider for over 8 communities involved in the HUD Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project. Terrance currently serves as Youth Program Coordinator for AIDS Project of the East Bay & Youth Engagement Specialist for The East Bay Getting to Zero Initiative in Oakland, CA where he works to facilitate the development of youth led governance structures which honors the lived experience and expertise of youth. Terrance’s continued work in the area of positive youth development directly reflects his commitment to advancing equity and liberation for all youth engaged in systems.
