Biography

Henry Ocampo has worked in minority health for over 25 years. After completing his degree with a BS in Psychology at UC Davis, he worked in San Francisco managing HIV prevention programs targeting Asians and Pacific Islanders. Henry eventually returned to school to enhance the skills that he learned doing several years of community work. He earned a Masters of Public Health in Health and Social Behavior from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2003, with specialties in MCH and International Health. Since starting at the Office of Minority Health Resource Center in April 2004, Henry provides capacity building assistance to minority health organizations and health departments around the country. One of the projects that he started at OMHRC is the Pacific Island Project, which aims at improving health programs in the U.S. affiliated Pacific Islands.
