Biography
My research focuses on new potential functions of HIV Vif and HIV latency using primary cell and stem cell/iPSC models. I have a general interest in viral evolution and host restriction factors. I received my PhD from UCSC where I discovered the ZNFs that co-evolved to restrict L1 and SVA retrotranspsons in the primate genome.
