Alison Wakefield, MPH

Biography

Alison Wakefield, MPH is the HIV Services Director at Mission Neighborhood Health Center, an FQHC serving residents of San Francisco’s Mission District since 1967. Ms. Wakefield provides leadership to the HIV Services Department, guiding the department’s interdisciplinary model of care. She is responsible for ensuring medical and support programs are effectively operating, including addressing all barriers to patient and client access. MNHC’s HIV Services Department has 425 HIV+ patients, 80 PrEP patients, and makes over 6000 HIV prevention contacts a year. Previously, Alison worked for Tri-City Health Center, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, ETR Associates, Essential Access Health and as a lecturer at San Jose State University. She graduated with her Master’s Degree in Public Health from San Jose State University.
