The goal of the Developmental Core is to support the next generation of HIV/AIDS researchers. Our programs include direct funding through our awards programs and a model mentorship program. In addition, our program leadership actively seeks opportunities to encourage collaborative, multidisciplinary efforts, and to identify and support emerging research of particular urgency and merit.
- Funding and Awards: The UCSF-Bay Area CFAR has awarded more than $12.1 Million in developmental research funding.
- Mentorship: CFAR's Mentoring Program supports new researchers by providing a structured forum for professional development.
- Education: CFAR's annual seminar has been an exciting opportunity for translational exploration for more than a decade.
