About the Workshop

The two-day workshop is an intensive and interactive meeting designed to provide faculty engaged in HIV research with tools for more effective mentoring. The workshop features didactic and interactive sessions to provide attendees with concrete tools for supporting early career investigators through common challenges and pitfalls, developing a structured mentoring plan and building a high-quality mentoring relationship.

Topics include AI in mentoring, funding sources for mentoring efforts, conflict and time management, leadership styles, manuscript writing, grant writing, individual development plans, coaching mentees on work-life balance, alternative funding strategies, and forming collaborative teams.

Descriptions and findings from the 1st workshop, 2nd workshop, and 3rd workshop provide additional information about the workshop and its approach.
