Single cell transcriptomic analysis of lymphoid tissues of methamphetamine exposure in people with HIV
Felipe Ten Caten, PhD
Associate Scientist Pathology Advanced and Translational Research Unit (PATRU)
Emory University
Dr. Felipe Ten Caten earned his B.S. in Biology from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, in 2011 and his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2017. During his post-doc at the same institution, Felipe investigated the transcriptional response to arboviral diseases, specifically Dengue and Chikungunya, studying prognostic biomarkers for the severe forms of both diseases. In 2021, Dr. Ten Caten joined the Pathology Advanced and Translational Research Unit (PATRU) at Emory University as a postdoctoral researcher to expand his studies on the immune response to infectious diseases, emphasizing multidimensional dataset analysis within a Systems Immunology framework. Currently, as an Associate Scientist at PATRU, his research focuses on the interplay between environmental and host factors in the HIV reservoir and the mechanisms of inflammation in individuals with Down syndrome.
