Flexibly Parameterizing Evidence-Informed Psycho-Behavioral Interventions to Reach People Who Use Drugs with HIV

Abigail (Abby) Batchelder is a clinical psychologist and researcher with a public health background. She is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and General Internal Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the Community Health Sciences Department at Boston University's School of Public Health. She is the Associate Vice Chair of Psychology as well as the Director and founder of the Behavioral Health Equity Program (https://sites.bu.edu/bhequity/) in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center, the largest safety net hospital in the northeast. She is also an affiliated investigator at the Fenway Institute, a federally qualified community health center in Boston. Dr. Batchelder has received 15 grants as PI or MPI and has been funded by the NIH, SAMHSA, Harvard, UCSF, private foundations, and industry. Her work aims to collaboratively identify, adapt, and implement evidence-based interventions with and for underserved people with unmet psycho-behavioral needs.
