Hong-Ha M. Truong, PhD, MS, MPH
Dr. Truong is Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She received her Master’s degrees in epidemiology and community health sciences from UCLA, her doctoral degree in pathobiology from the University of Washington, and completed fellowships in HIV prevention at UCLA and the Traineeships in AIDS Prevention Studies (TAPS) Program at UCSF. Dr. Truong’s portfolio bridges HIV epidemiology, virology and behavioral research. Her interdisciplinary studies apply the combination HIV prevention paradigm by integrating biomedical and behavioral approaches aimed at decreasing HIV transmission. Dr. Truong has been Principal Investigator of three NIH R01 grant awards.
