Dr. Rebecca Zash graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine before moving to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for internal medicine residency.  She stayed at BIDMC and is now faculty in the division of infectious diseases, seeing inpatients with general infectious diseases and directing the ID-reproductive health outpatient clinic.  Her research is based in Botswana where she focuses on the impact of HIV and antiretroviral therapy on pregnancy and improving systems to collect pregnancy safety data in low resourced settings.  She is also a member of the DHHS perinatal HIV guidelines committee and the sub-Saharan congenital anomalies network.
