“IRL vs Online": Time to rethink the design of mHealth HIV Interventions for sexual and gender minority youth?

José A. Bauermeister (Pronouns: he/his)  is the Albert M. Greenfield Professor of Human Relations at the University of Pennsylvania and founding Faculty Director of the Eidos LGBTQ+ Health Initiative. Dr. Bauermeister’s work focuses on developing community-engaged health promotion programs for racial/ethnic and sexual and gender minority youth. Dr. Bauermeister holds a Bachelor in Psychology degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a joint Masters and PhD in Public Health from the University of Michigan. Dr. Bauermeister is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s 2019 class of Health Innovators Fellowship, Trustee of the Philadelphia Health Partnership, and Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
