CFAR Educational Programs
The CFAR Administrative and Developmental cores provide a variety of educational opportunities for our constituents. The Mentoring program hosts a series of presentations with a career-development focus in addition to the 1:1 matching of junior and senior researchers. The annual full-day Scientific Research Symposium brings together leading local, national and international experts as speakers and generally attracts a wide audience. Translational themes and perspectives are privileged where possible. Finally, CFAR sponsors or cosponsors numerous individual seminars throughout the year.
The program has recently provided support to recording and posting educational programs online. Our 2010 Scientifc Symposium is available online. In addition, we are supporting the online version of the Positive Health Program's SFGH HIV/AIDS Grand Rounds, one of the oldest series of its kind, on UCSF's HIV InSite.
