Leadership: CFAR Scientific Council
The CFAR Scientific Council (CSC) reflects the expansion of the Center's involvement to all research programs and investigators affiliated with the larger UCSF HIV/AIDS research enterprise. The CSC meets four times a year, usually in conjunction with other CFAR administrative meetings or seminars. These sessions feature a short presentation of recent unpublished research from an invited faculty or postdoc followed by a discussion of how CFAR can best support the specific science presented.
The CSC also assists in the development of the scientific agenda presented during the Center's annual External Advisory Committee review, and advises and recommends speakers and topics for our seminars and annual symposium.
