Symposium FocusThe University of California San Francisco - Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) and the UCSF Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) jointly presented this symposium highlighting the most promising areas of biomedical HIV/AIDS prevention. Presentations spanned the spectrum of basic, clinical, translational, behavioral and international HIV/AIDS prevention research. The purpose of this one-day symposium was to create a forum for scientists to exchange the most recent data and ideas concerning biomedical approaches to HIV prevention, including recent findings, adherence, risk compensation, and implementation issues.

- Male Circumcision and Antiretroviral Treatment as Prevention

The next symposium will be jointly presented with the University of Washington CFAR (Seattle) and focus on HIV and women. Tentative event date: late fall 2009. Check this website often for updates.
